Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how clarivnt ("clarivnt," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use clarivnt.com and our AI old-photo restoration services.

Information We May Process

Depending on how you use clarivnt, we may process:

  1. Photos and restoration results: photographs you upload and the restored outputs generated for you.
  2. Service information: restoration requests, feature interactions, preferences, and diagnostic events.
  3. Device and log information: browser type, device type, approximate network information, timestamps, and error logs.
  4. Contact information: information you send when contacting support.
  5. Transaction information: purchase and subscription records needed to provide paid plans. Payment details are handled by our payment provider rather than Clarivnt directly.
  6. Cookies or similar technologies: data used to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand basic service performance.

How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Process photos and provide restoration results.
  • Deliver restoration results to your private workspace.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • Provide support and communicate important service updates.
  • Prevent misuse and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Photos and AI Processing

Clarivnt currently sends short-lived, access-controlled photo URLs to fal.ai for processing. Restoration uses fal-ai/image-apps-v2/photo-restoration. Where enabled and available to our production account, input and output photos may also be screened with fal-ai/imageutils/nsfw under our Acceptable Use Policy.

Photos may therefore be processed by AI systems and service providers needed to generate and safety-check a restoration. AI-generated details are interpretations and may not be historically accurate. Automated classifiers can also make mistakes; reports and appeals may receive limited human review.

Clarivnt does not provide a public photo gallery or publish your uploaded photos and restoration results as part of the service. You remain responsible for any copy you download and share elsewhere.

Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the service, support, safety, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Actual retention may depend on the feature and service provider involved.

We may share information with vendors that help us provide hosting, AI processing and moderation, storage, analytics, support, or payment services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights and safety of clarivnt, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information, subject to applicable law and technical or legal retention requirements.

Please keep your original photographs and scans. A restored image should not replace your only archival copy.

Children

clarivnt is not directed to children who are not old enough to consent to online services under applicable law. If you believe a child provided information without appropriate permission, contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
