This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to every photograph, restoration request, account, and result processed through Clarivnt.
Clarivnt uses the fal-ai/image-apps-v2/photo-restoration model through fal.ai's hosted API. The model can repair visible damage, improve resolution, and adjust color, but its output is an AI-generated interpretation rather than verified historical evidence.
By uploading a photograph or using a restoration result, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
You must not upload, restore, request, download for prohibited use, or attempt to use Clarivnt for any of the following categories. Each category is independently prohibited:
Clarivnt also prohibits content or activity involving terrorism, credible threats, weapons-of-mass-destruction assistance, fraud, harassment, privacy violations, attempts to bypass safety controls, or other unlawful conduct.
Clarivnt uses a layered process that is proportionate to a private old-photo restoration service:
fal-ai/imageutils/nsfw classifier where that model is available to the production account. When enabled, a probability of 0.70 or higher is blocked, no result is delivered, and the request credit is returned.Automated safeguards cannot reliably identify every legal, contextual, identity, or intellectual-property issue. Users remain responsible for their uploads and uses. Clarivnt may block processing, withhold a result, remove access, or apply the enforcement actions below when a violation is detected or reported.
Report a suspected violation by emailing support@clarivnt.com with the subject Content Safety Report.
When possible, include:
Do not email illegal child-safety material. Preserve only the identifiers needed for a report and contact the appropriate local authority where required. Reporter identities are treated as confidential except when disclosure is legally required. Malicious or knowingly false reports may themselves lead to enforcement.
Clarivnt uses the following operational targets. Complex cases or lawful requests may require more time; when practical, we will explain material delays.
| Severity | Examples | Initial response target | Resolution target |
|---|---|---|---|
| L1 — Critical | Child safety, credible threat, terrorism, criminal exploitation | Within 12 hours | Within 24 hours |
| L2 — High | Severe violence, non-consensual deepfake, serious hate or fraud | Within 1 business day | Within 3 business days |
| L3 — Medium | Copyright/trademark complaint, repeat misuse, other confirmed prohibited content | Within 3 business days | Within 7 business days |
| L4 — Low | Minor or ambiguous policy concern | Within 5 business days | Within 15 business days |
Depending on severity, intent, history, law, and available evidence, Clarivnt may:
Credits used by an automatically blocked request are returned. Fraudulent, abusive, or repeated attempts to evade safety controls may make an account ineligible for promotional credits, refunds, or continued service to the extent permitted by law and our Terms.
You may appeal an enforcement decision within 14 days of notice by emailing support@clarivnt.com with the subject Content Safety Appeal. Include the decision or task ID and the reason you believe the decision was incorrect.
An appeal will be reviewed using the available evidence and, where practicable, by someone who did not make the original decision. We target a response within 10 business days. Critical safety restrictions may remain in place during an appeal.
Moderation uses the minimum data reasonably needed to evaluate a request. Additional details are in our Privacy Policy. We may retain safety records when reasonably necessary to prevent repeated misuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
We may update this Policy as the service, models, risks, or law change. The latest version and effective date will remain available at this stable URL.
